Much of every organism’s environment consists of other living creatures, so it’s no surprise that many species live in, on and around others, with profound effects on all sides. These interactions are often exploitative, but some are cooperative, and all kinds are of great evolutionary, ecological and (for humans) medical and agricultural importance. SBS researchers study a wide diversity of interactions, ranging from parasitism to mutualism.
