Research Interest Area: Behavior & Neurobiology
Researchers in SBS use invertebrates and vertebrates to study topics such as behavioral ecology of social insects, olfactory and acoustic communication of amphibians and birds, and the behavioral physiology and ecology of reptiles, birds and mammals. We also study the neurobiology of a wide range of model systems, including round worms, insects, and vertebrates such as fish, frogs, birds, and rodents. SBS members use advanced methodologies in electron and light optics, as well as classical techniques such as electrophysiological recording.
